President’s Tan Talk – September 2024
On a cool, clear spring morning it was great to again welcome IST (inclusive sports training) to our Tan Time Trial. While always full of energy and enthusiasm, they were even more “pumped” on this occasion, celebrating Annabelle Coleman’s performance at the Paralympics. The night before, the IST athletes and families had had a “watch party”, and were thrilled to see Annabelle break an Australian and Oceania record in finishing fourth in the 1500 metre track T20 in 4:31. Annabelle is also on the fastest Tan para runners board at our Tan start / finish, so she’s a legend, and all of her IST buddies were extra pump, and the enthusiasm was contagious.
Congratulations Annabelle!!

| We don’t have a calendar of all the running events these days, but there’s the occasional event which we think VRR members might like to know about.
Harrietville Half 2024
Following the continued success of our event since 2015, our small group of dedicated runners in Harrietville is organising the road running event, the ‘Harrietville Half’, again this year. The event comprises a Half Marathon run and 10.5, 5 & 2km Fun run/walks on Sunday, Oct 13th 2024. We wondered whether your runners may be interested in participating and whether you would share our website with them – www.harrietvillehalfmarathon.com on your Facebook or social media sites. Our Facebook site is Harrietville Half Marathon which also has the link to our website.
